London 2012: USA on Second Spot with Dana Vollmer and Kimberly Rhode's Gold on Day 2
London (Monday, July 30) - China maintained their top position on medals table after day 2 of the London 2012 Olympic Games followed by USA and Italy.
China is on top with total 12 medals, Gold 6 Silver 4 Bronze 2. China's six Gold medals came in Diving, Shooting and Swimming, two in each. China's Zi He, Minxia Wu won Gold in Diving, Wenjun Guo, Siling Yi won Gold in Shooting and Yang Sun, Shiwen Ye won Gold medals in Swimming.
USA is on second spot with total 11 medals, Gold 3 Silver 5 Bronze 3. America's two Gold medals came in Swimming and one came in Shooting. America's Ryan Lochte and Dana Vollmer won Gold in Swimming, while Kimberly Rhode won Gold in Shooting.
Italy is currenly spotted on number three in terms of medals won with their 7 medals, Gold 2 Silver 3 Bronze 2. Italy's two Gold medals came in Archery and Fencing, one each in both events. Italy's Archery Team - Michele Frangilli, Marco Galiazzo, Mauro Nespoli -
The hosts, Great Britain, are still in the hunt of their first Gold; but they have won one Silver and One Bronze already.
